SEASHELLS by the SEASHORE

Come walk with me
Along the sea
Where dusk sits on the land,
And search with me
For shells are free,
And treasures hide in sand.
Author Uknown

Nothing beckons us towards the ocean quite like seashells do. When I walk the beach I find myself bending down to pick up one than another, gently placing them in pockets until I realize I cannot pick up all of them.  I stop occasionally to listen to the ocean or watch children playing in the surf. Here on the West Coast we do not have the wonderful variety of shells as our friends on the East Coast. Our treasures are small but the adventure of finding and collecting them is grand. My keepsakes are now safe in my pockets,  waiting to be displayed when I get home.
Just another day in paradise~
